Daddy daughter photo shoot

I showed Lewis the pictures Lena and I took together and he wanted a photo shoot too.

So while I ran errands, dad and baby played.

Mommy daughter photo shoot

She's the star in all of the pictures. I just tried to follow her lead. Please excuse my big mouth and big tongue. I tried to make mine as small and cute as hers but it didn't work.

sledding

It snowed the day before Christmas so we were able to have a beautiful, white Christmas this year! The day before Christmas, we wanted to take Lena outside to play in the snow, but it was so windy. We waited around until Christmas day and took her out then.

She loved it! Can't you tell by her face?!

Part 4

My mom bought a baby sled, and an adult sled for the rest of the family. My brothers had too good of a time on that thing. The dog-piled on each other and then sledded down the hill together. Clark and Alicia got a little busted up, but thankfully nothing too serious.

because Steve bailed:
"see that rock? It's actually a bush. But it looked like a rock. So I bailed."

Clark pre-crash. He was going through Todd's legs.
Paid too much attention to Todd and not enough attention to the rock right on the other side.
Thankfully, no head trauma.
I only have one picture of this because I was too worried after the crash to take any more.

This was such a fun part of the day. I wish that Lena would have lasted a little longer. We had to head back in early and we missed some more of the fun rides down the hill.

Presents!

Lena was so good at opening all her presents. And man did she have a lot! My family spoiled her.

Before Christmas even came, she got clothes from Clark and Alicia.

Then for Christmas, she got more books, clothes, toys, and more books. We are so grateful for all the love that we received. If gifts were just coming from me and Lewis, we never would have been able to give her all she got. It's been fun to watch her figure out how the toys work. She'll watch us do things, and then after repeated attempts, she figures it out on her own. So fun!

Her gift from Santa. We maybe got it a little prematurely, but in a few months, she's probably going to love this thing:

"so much paper!"

All day, we just played. She loved it. For the most part, she wanted the wrapping paper and the boxes the toys came in, but she loved in none the less.
