4 months!
Happy four months my not-so-little Lena!
Already filling out a 6-9 month outfit. Except her head. It's still in the 50th percentile.
Comparison
Like mother, like daughter?
OR
Like father, like daughter?
Sorry for the lack of comparison picture with Lena and Lewis. This is the only picture of Lewis I had that was comparable to any that looked like Lena.
and the winner is...
This handsome man!
All because of that stupid turkey (which he keeps saying looks like a chicken). His last ditch effort to use the laffy taffy. Pretty creative idea, I might add.
Well played, my love. The turkey was definitely more popular.

cupcake wars
Today, Lewis and I had our own version of cupcake wars. It was a mixture of cupcake wars and chopped. Lewis knows I love the cooking channel. We had a theme (like cupcake wars) and then had to use specific ingredients in all the decorations (like chopped).
The theme wall
The decorations: icing, candy letters, halloween eyes, laffy taffy, nerds, and sweetarts
Cutest idea ever?
Yes.
And he didn't even get the idea from pinterest.
I got to pick the theme. I chose theme 3: the fall. We each had to decorate three cupcakes that had to do with the fall season. Using one of all the decorations. Unlike the show, we didn't have any judges to judge our creations. This is where you come in. You will help us choose the winner.
Option A:
a pumpkin
"BOO" for halloween
leaves
a graveyard
fall colors
a turkey for thanksgiving
Option A:
Every day is game day
Last night we took Lena to her first football game. And lets just say she does not like loud noises. When we first got there, she cried and we just needed to calm her down and help her to get used to where she was. Then she seemed to do ok.
When I clapped her hands together when something good happened, a little smile would show up on her face. We also helped her dance to the fight song. She smiled then, too.
We left just after half time and she cried the. Whole. Way. Home. People were looking out their windows as we walked past.
We'll take her back in a few weeks and see how she does.
Thanks mom and dad for the tickets!

Happy Halloween!
Lena's all ready for the holiday. Thanks to aunt Rachael.
What's not adorable about that face?
[ please don't actually answer this question if you think there is something that's not actually adorable. I'll fight you on it :) ]
solids
Lena had her 4 month doctor appointment on Tuesday. And the doctor said we could start solids. Whatever we wanted. Hooray! So that afternoon, my mom and I went and bought her some rice cereal. We're going to start her on that until she gets the hang of this whole spoon thing.
But we think she enjoyed it. Honestly, I'm not quite sure she had any idea what was going on. Suddenly, I was sticking something weird in her mouth and hoping she'd swallow it. She sure liked gnawing on the spoon though. Good replacement from her hands.
Hopefully with enough practice, she'll realize what this whole spoon thing's about.
Sorry none of the pictures are actually super exciting. Maybe soon we'll have some with lots of food all over her face.

bouncer
My parents bought Lena a bouncer the other day. She loves it. And bounces in it a little bit. And we're hoping as she grows (and practices), she'll bounce more. When I first put her in, she was so interested in all the new toys that were suddenly in front of her. Once she can control those arms, she'll love playing with them.
But, like always, I had to document her first time. Even though her facial expression is usually the same in all the pictures. Always miss curious.
I adore her. Thanks mom and dad for the bouncer! You've produced that happy face.
