A taste of Europe

Lewis and I just got back from the most incredible trip to Europe! Many thanks to my parents for taking us. We were able to visit some historic places around the world, and see the beauty of Spain, France, and Italy. Naturally, we took hundreds of pictures, but I'll try to just post the most exciting and let the pictures do the talking, since a picture is worth a thousand words.

Barcelona: The day before the cruise, we toured around Barcelona a little bit. We were all so tired and jet-lagged from the flight, that we just took a bus around and saw everything from afar.

Lewis and I in front of the Gaudi cathedral. The line to get in was soooo long, so we didn't get to go inside.

Marseilles, France: Stop 1 on the cruise

Outside of a palace

The Chateau d'If is that little island in the side of the picture. Only the prison from Count of Monte Cristo. No big deal.

The family by the bay of Marseille.

Monte Carlo: Lewis's favorite place on the planet. He's ready to die happy

The hubby and I with Monte Carlo in the background.

Lewis with all his dream cars.

The family on the coast of Monte Carlo.

Just tanning on the coasts of France. No big deal.

Florence, Italy

A man pretending to be a statue.

Kissing the lucky pig. If you rub its nose, you wish to come back to Italy.

A beautiful bridge in Florence, surrounded by shops and apartments.

The family inside a beautiful church.

Rome, Italy: 8 hours in Rome, we saw St. Peter's, the Collesum, the Forum, and Trevi Fountain
 Outside the Collesum

Making a wish at the Trevi Fountain. For some reason, every place where you can wish for something, the first wish has to be that you'll come back to Italy.

Our not-so-free picture. But this man loved us. And smelt really bad with his dirty shirt and greasy hair.
My wonderful parentals. So cute. Love them so.

Inside St. Peter's at the Vatican. Beautiful building.

Amalfi Coast and Pompei:

The family on the beginning of the boat tour of the coast. Most beautiful place.

Attempting to reenact the Beatles picture, making an ancient replica.
First one turned out better than the second.

All in all, it was a spectacular trip. We got a taste of Europe and Lewis and I are already planning our next trip. That we'll take in 30 or so years when we can afford it again. Haha. It was also fun to spend time with family while we were there. Thanks mom and dad for making this a reality for us! We loved every minute of it, lack of sleep and all.
