Cecil

Today when Lewis and I were in the Dallas airport waiting to catch our flight home, President Samuelson, the president of our school, walked off the flight at the gate where we were waiting. As we turned the corner, we almost ran into him. We were surprised to see him, naturally. We wanted to say hi and the first words out of Lewis's mouth were, "hi Cecil." Not "hi president Samuelson." It was hilarious. At home, when Lewis and I talk about Cecil, we refer to him as Cecil, not as president Samuelson.

The bad habit got the best of us in public as we called Cecil "Cecil" and not president Samuelson.

When I told my mom about it she asked if we actually said "Cecil" out loud. Indeed we did.

And we were embarrassed.
